Agnes Marion Hogg [1914-UC1-033] was born in Montrose, Forfarshire, in 1896, and entered the United College in 1914. She studied under the Provincial Committee for the Training of Teachers. Although she had not placed highly in the Entrance Bursary competition in 1914 (coming 42nd of 48 candidates), she went on to have a fulfilling university career, and obtained an MA in July 1918.

Records are scarce after her graduation, but as of 1923/24, she was living in St Andrews at 6 Park Street, and was working as a teacher.

This summary was written in May 2026 by Lola Lam, who was then a first-year MA student of International Relations and History at the University of St Andrews.
